The Town Clerk acts as Assistant Administrator, Town Treasurer, and Clerk of the Town Council. The Clerk also has custody of all Public Records and serves as Supervisor of Town Elections.
The Town's Clerk's Office is responsible for issuing business tax receipts, contractor registrations, and flood zone determinations. In addition, the Clerk's Office furnishes a wide variety of information to the public.

The building department of the Town of Hypoluxo consists of the Building Official, a contract position.
The Building Department is recognized as one of the most critical and important functions of municipal government in that it plays an important role in the protection of life, health and safety of every citizen.
The Building Official is responsible for enforcing all Town building codes and making sure that builders follow the directives of the town council.
The Building Department also approves all Town-issued building permits and performs inspections when necessary. Anyone planning to build, remodel, or perform any improvements on property in the Town should contact the Building Department to determine if a building permit is necessary. The Town has contracted with HyByrd Inc. to provide building department services.
